In Situ Thermal Remediation

Heat-Based Cleanup That Closes Contaminated Sites — Fast

Doxor Thermal designs and operates Electrical Resistance Heating (ERH) and Thermal Conduction Heating (TCH) systems that remove chlorinated solvents, fuels and VOCs at the source — in months, not decades.

Two Proven Technologies. One Goal: Site Closure.

Every site is different. We match the heating technology to your geology, contaminants and cleanup goals — and operate it end to end.

ERH

Electrical Resistance Heating

Electrodes pass current through the subsurface; the soil itself becomes the heater, boiling contaminants out of saturated and vadose zones.

  • Ideal for chlorinated solvents (TCE, PCE) and VOC source zones
  • Effective in silts, clays and heterogeneous soils
  • Operates under active facilities — no excavation

TCH

Thermal Conduction Heating

Heater wells conduct temperatures of up to several hundred °C into the soil, treating high-boiling-point compounds that no other in situ method reaches.

  • Reaches SVOCs, fuels and high-boiling contaminants
  • Works in any soil type, including fractured rock
  • Precise, uniform heating of the target zone

From Site Data to Closure in Three Steps

1

Free Site Evaluation

Send us your site data. Our engineers assess geology, contaminant mass and cleanup goals, and tell you if thermal is the right fit — honestly.

2

Design & Mobilization

We model the heat delivery, design the electrode or heater-well field, and install vapor capture and treatment — typically within weeks.

3

Heat, Verify, Close

Continuous monitoring tracks temperature and mass removal until confirmation sampling proves the target is met. Then we demobilize.

Field-Proven on Complex Sites

A selection of thermal remediation projects delivered by our team since 2010.

Chlorinated Solvent Source Zone — Industrial Plant

ERH treatment of a TCE/PCE source zone beneath an operating manufacturing facility, reaching closure criteria without disrupting production.

Benzene & TPH — Municipal School Site

Thermal treatment of fuel-impacted soil at a sensitive municipal school site, presented at the Battelle Conference 2026.

Brownfield Redevelopment — São Paulo

Fast-track ERH source removal enabling residential redevelopment of a former industrial property in a dense urban area.
